Cisco VoIP Network Engineer

  • Cisco (and Meraki) Network Engineer: 4 years
  • Cisco VoIP Engineer (including Webex Calling): 2 years (preferred)
  • Experience with SIP and UC Platforms 10.x and up

Preferred Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Microsoft Teams Voice administration experience is a plus.
  • CCNA or Webex Calling or CCVP /CCNP collaboration preferred
  • Desire to learn new technologies and share knowledge with team members
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and manage multiple ongoing client engagements
  • Outstanding leadership skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills

Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to enable local and short distance travel to client sites when necessary. Occasional travel for training meetings and conferences is required.

Network Engineer

We seek a Network Engineer to complement our Professional Services delivery team.

Who’s the Right Fit?

The Network Engineer assists with designs for infrastructure solutions to help meet business goals and industry standards. This position requires a strong understanding of network technology, hardware, software, and services to ensure proactive monitoring and maintenance of network environments.

Some experience in designing networks and technologies using various telecommunication technologies, including but not limited to Wireless, local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and cloud voice.

Defines and discerns aspects of a network problem and works to resolve them quickly. The primary contributor to network architecture design and engineering.

Essential Functions of this Role

  • Supporting small to large enterprise-class, basic local area networks (LAN), and basic wide area networks (WAN)
  • Support for Cisco products, including routers, switches, wireless/Meraki, and other products, is essential
  • Extremely detail-oriented and resourceful
  • Relevant experience using problem-solving skills
  • Strong IT aptitude and proven successful accomplishments and achievements
  • Very career-focused
  • Must work well in a team environment and strive for excellence in customer service
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills, is enthusiastic and highly motivated, and has a strong work ethic
  • Results-driven with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization and enjoy a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to new responsibilities and contribute within the department as necessary

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide overflow support for end-user issues during normal and after-hours

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required

  • 1-3 years designing and maintaining networks with Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Strong passion for Cisco Networking
  • Must have CCNA or CCDA
  • Cisco Voice experience is preferred
  • Integration Services experience is preferred
  • Must have a basic understanding of the Cisco and Meraki product lines
  • Understanding of the OSI model
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, and other administration and management protocols
  • Understanding of Quality of Service (QOS)
  • Computer savvy (MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent walking, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling
  • 15%–20% travel
